Some services are more labor intensive than others, and some books need less work than others, so every project necessarily has a custom price. But rest assured that even with all the experience under my belt, I still charge standard, mid-market rates. And my fees are only half of what editing agencies and hybrid publishers ask for because I don’t have any corporate overhead or project managers who also need to be paid. With me, you’re only hiring (and paying) one person rather than a whole team.
